To benefit the IPC Foundation — Investing in the future of the industry
Thanks to generous donations, the IPC Foundation sponsors an “all academic poster competition” at IPC APEX EXPO to foster better cooperation between industry and academia in the critical areas of electronic interconnection technology. Universities around the world are invited to submit their research for consideration in this competition. In addition, scholarships to IPC’s trade
shows have been made available to individuals who are experiencing financial hardship. Details available.
Informational resources to enhance the work you do, help train your staff and support your company’s strategic planning efforts are waiting for you in the IPC bookstore on the show floor.
Take a quick minute to catch up with the office so you can focus on the new products on the show floor. FREE access to computers will be available in a convenient spot in the hall.
Put down the Blackberrys, set the cell phones on vibrate, and take a few moments to kick back with your colleagues for our very own happy hour, replete with beverages, munchies and lots of friends to catch up with and friends to make. Take a casual stroll through the exhibition, scope out all the goodies the exhibitors have to offer, and be sure to check out the academic poster competition and place your vote for the winner.
Our international friends are invited to relax, have a bite to eat, and meet key IPC volunteers. We're expecting representatives from more than 50 countries to join us and IPC Committee Chairmen at this festive gathering.
Maximize your time at IPC APEX EXPO with some advice from a few insiders. Enjoy a continental breakfast while your colleagues share the ins and outs of IPC and this event. Learn how to put IPC’s resources to use for you and your company and find out how to take advantage of everything this event has to offer. Even if you’re not a first-timer, join us for a refresher course on IPC programs and activities.
What are your international, national, and regional, concerns regarding government regulations, legislation, and international trade? How can IPC help make your business more profitable?
The focus of this special meeting is YOU and your Government Relations concerns and needs. Government Relations Committee members will provide an overview of their efforts to support the prosperity of the global electronic interconnect industry, including lobbying on proposed revisions to the European Union (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive, government support for research and development (R&D), and the future of military electronics. After the overview we hope to have a lively, open discussion regarding future issues for the committee to address. In short, the IPC Government Relations Committee wants to know what they can do for you.
From engineering to sales and marketing to executive management, women are making a greater impact in all areas of the electronic interconnect industry. How has being a woman affected your career? Share your ideas and experiences with your peers and build your industry network for your future career success. There is no charge to attend this meeting. Be sure to RSVP for this meeting through the online registration process to reserve your place. If you would like more information, contact MaryMacKinnon.
The Best in Test Awards® have been presented annually since 1991 by the editors of Test & Measurement World. These awards honor important and innovative new products in the electronics test and measurement industry that were introduced within the last year. This year’s program also includes the “Test of Time” award which honors veteran products that have offered state-of-the-art performance for five years or more. In addition, we will announce the 2009 “Test Engineer of the Year” who was selected as an outstanding technical leader, as voted by the magazine’s readers. The winning engineer will designate an engineering school to receive a $10,000 grant, courtesy of National Instruments.
